Chocolate Fountains are they appropriate?

I’m thinking of having a Chocolate Fountain which would be ‘fully serviced’ by a company (in other words hosted) for our wedding instead of having deserts, i would provide sticks of marshmallows strawberries etc is this appropriate? we are having a sit down dinner…

We’ve done tons at my catering hall, and they’re always very popular – a real “wow” factor.

As to the germs/double dipping issue – we’ve always got someone right there behind the table, making sure everyone is using sticks/not double dipping. If we see it happen, it gets shut off. (It’s actually never happened, though – probably because we supervise.)

If you do it, some things that taste DELISH dipped in chocolate and your caterer might not normally do – rice krispy treats, matzos, potato chips (wavy ones hold up better!), etc. Sounds weird but salty-and-sweet combo is good!
