Correct amount of oil for Chocolate Fountain?

I bought a chocolate fountain and I don’t remember where I put the book for it. Now I want to use it and I don’t know how much oil to use. I’m only using 1 bag of chocolate chips so can anyone help me out with the correct amount of oil. I tried looking for some directions on line but when I enter the product name, it just came back with links to buy the product.

We ran 2 Chocolate Fountains at our daughter’s wedding 5 years ago. I think it was 1/4 cu of cooking oil (like Wesson) to a bag of chips.

However, we heated our chocolate chips in the microwave, but VERY CAREFULLY. We only zapped it in the microwave for about 30 seconds a crack…then stirred it VERY WELL…then 30 seconds again until it was smooth as silk. We preheated the fountain..and poured it in. It was great! Make SURE your table is level, and that there are NO LUMPS in the chocolate or it messes up the flowing effect.
