Caramel In a Chocolate Fountain ?
Has anyone ever used caramel in a chocolate fountain ?
A Rival Fountain to be exact , Im thinking if i make a caramel sauce using caramel squares it should be fine ?
Anyone have a recipe for melting these to make sauce ?
Thanks , its for a teen party tonight , and they desperately want caramel apples and i thought caramel fountain would be perfect ..
What is peters caramel , would caramel squares work you think?

I don’t think this will work. You’ll end up clogging the machine. Chocolate and caramel have different melting points. Liquid temp for chocolate would be goopy mess for caramel. Sorry to dissapoint! You could try doing a caramel fondue instead though!
EDIT: Color me surprised. You can actually run caramel fondue through a chocolate fountain. I’d think it’d get all sticky and gross though!
Here’s the recipe I found: Easy Caramel Fondue Recipe
Melt together 1 can sweetened condensed milk and 1 stick of butter and 1 pound of Peter’s Caramel.

EDIT 2: Yeah, Peter’s is just the brand. Any brand of caramel squares should be okay. Mix with condensed milk and butter. Don’t leave out the butter.. I think that’s what helps it be smooth enough to go through the fountain. Have fun
